Research Project Overview:
Research Assistantship: Social Theory
The work will involve library research, reading materials, and writing an annotated bibliography.
Role of a SHARE Summer Apprentice:
The apprentice will become proficient in library research, evaluating research, and writing an annotated bibliography.
This research apprenticeship is ideal for any student who is interested in learning about social theory that focuses on race, class, gender, sexuality, disability, colonialism, capitalism, and intersectionality.
Summer Schedule/Time Commitment:
The work can take place any time between June 19 and August 11. Beyond that, the work schedule is flexible.
I plan to meet weekly with the apprentice to discuss their progress, any challenges they face, and teach library research skills. These meetings can be virtual or in person on the Stamford campus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications: a student who has taken at least two sociology classes and has a genuine interest in reading theory that focuses on race, class, gender, sexuality, disability, colonialism, capitalism, and intersectionality.
