Project Mentor Approval of Finalized Materials

We value the expert opinions and feedback project mentors provide students during the project planning stage and while they engage in their project work. As students go through the process of refining their plan, they are required to discuss their project plan, budget and timeline with their project mentor, and if needed, incorporate feedback and make any necessary adjustments to their plan to assure it is appropriate and feasible

Please review the statements below and check “Yes” to indicate your agreement with the statements. During project development, materials may go through multiple revisions, and to assure we are all reviewing the most recent versions, we ask that you please submit the version that you have reviewed and are approving for our records.

  • The project plan has been discussed in detail, including short-term and long-term goals of the project. The plan is appropriate and feasible.
  • Please attach the approved project plan for our records.

  • The budget has been discussed. All items and expenses are necessary and justified.

    Please note: Students may receive a stipend for time spent working on the UConn IDEA Grant project if it takes away from time they would normally spend working. Students may not receive both academic credit and a stipend for the same hours of work on their UConn IDEA Grant projects.

    Changes to the approved budget must be discussed with the IDEA Grant program coordinator to assure they align with funding policies. Unused grant funding must be returned to the IDEA Grant program at the conclusion of the project.
