Undergraduate Research Opportunity Description

Project Description Addictions lab. Multiple studies ongoing: 1) app-based treatment for cocaine use disorder; 2) assessing use of responsible gaming tools among Connecticut residents; and 3) promoting employment in persons living with HIV.
Project Direction All studies are ongoing and will continue at least through end of 2025. The cocaine study continues until Fall 2027.
Mentorship and Supervision Weekly meetings one-on-one to assess progress toward program goals. Students can attend weekly study meetings as well. Goal for most students is a first-author poster presentation submitted to a national conference by the end of summer.
Student Qualifications If matched, student must complete all IRB trainings and requirements prior to start of the HRP period.
Summer Schedule Options Research Dates: May 19 to July 25, 2025
Schedule: M-F, times can be negotiated.
Project Continuation Fall 2025, Spring 2026
Academic Year Time Commitment 3, 6, or 9 hours/week
Possible Thesis Project Yes
