Undergraduate Research Opportunity Description
Project Description | I have several projects ongoing: 1) randomized clinical trial to support employment in persons living with HIV; 2) medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorders; and 3) a new responsible gaming study will be launching in spring 2024. In addition, I have completed trials that could be used for data analyses/posters/papers for motivated students. |
Project Direction | The ongoing projects will continue into 2025. For students interested in data analyses, the academic year could be used to formulate research questions, conduct data analyses, and submit/prepare posters. |
Mentorship and Supervision | I generally meet weekly with the student individually and the student attends our weekly team meetings. |
Student Qualifications | Must have CITI training completed prior to the start of the summer. I prefer students who are interested in developing poster/paper ideas and who are motivated enough to see those projects through to completion. |
Summer Schedule Options | M-F 8-4pm, depends on which study the student is interested in. |
Project Continuation | Fall 2024, Spring 2025 |
Academic Year Time Commitment | 3 hours/week – 9 hours/week |
Possible Thesis Project | Yes |
