NEW: Limited Time Opportunity – Summer Internship Opportunities for Undergraduate Students in the School of Business and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Summer internships are now available within the UConn-TIP Bioscience and STEM Summer Research Program (see below) for UConn undergraduate students from the School of Business and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. This is an opportunity for exposure and involvement in marketing or business-related activities within a real-world, entrepreneurial biotechnology environment.
Applications are being accepted for School of Business and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources interns ONLY at this time. The deadline is Friday, May 10, 2013. In addition to submitting an application, please send resumes directly to Dr. Caroline Dealy, Program Director at dealy@nso2.uchc.edu.
The UConn-TIP Bioscience & STEM Summer Research Intern Program provides mentored summer research internships in University of Connecticut Technology Incubator Program (TIP) biotechnology laboratories. Read more at UConn Today.
The program will place interns in TIP labs at Storrs, Farmington and Avery Point TIP locations in summer 2013. The 10 week-long internships will begin May 20 and end July 26. Interns will receive a stipend of $3,200.
The program is accepting applications from UConn undergraduate students and recent UConn graduates (within 6 months of graduation) who are Connecticut residents. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis until March 15. Early application is strongly encouraged. Interns will be selected based on academic qualifications, research experience and interest. Interns will participate in a weekly research seminar series, and will present the results of their summer project at a TIP Research Symposia on the final program day (July 26, 2013), and at UConn’s Frontiers in Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium in April 2014.
Funding for the program is provided by TIP host companies and several of UConn’s schools and colleges.
