Documenting African American Community Formation and Community Succession in Hartford is a data visualization project that charts the internal movement of African Americans in Harford from the downtown area to the North end and then Bloomfield and Windsor. This project complements an ongoing digital humanities project the explores how housing access and discrimination shaped where people could live in the city.
Perspectives of Home: Stories of Post War Manchester explores the shifting demography of a former mill town in the Greater Hartford region through a partnership with a local gallery in Manchester. This project extends the analysis of urbanization in Hartford to its immediate suburbs.
