Undergraduate Research Opportunity Description

Project Description We have an NIH-funded clinical trial testing a mobile app for the treatment of stimulant use disorders. Our team conducts the follow interviews and zoom meetings to observe the participant providing a saliva sample testing for the presence of illicit substances.
Project Direction This project is currently in Year 2 and will continue into next year. Our lab focuses on behavioral interventions for substance use disorder treatment. Other datasets/projects are also available in the broader area of addiction treatments.
Mentorship and Supervision Weekly team meetings, once weekly one-on-one meeting with me. Student's goal should be to submit a poster abstract to a national or state conference by the end of the summer.
Student Qualifications Must complete CITI trainings prior to the start of the summer term.
Summer Schedule Options Research Dates: May 18 to July 24, 2026
Schedule: Can be hybrid, but plan to spend at least 2 days in the office during typical work hours (e.g., 8-4pm). Work days are M-F typical work hours (e.g., 8-4pm).
Project Continuation Fall 2026, Spring 2027
Academic Year Time Commitment 3, 6, or 9 hours/week
