The techniques we use include mouse models, anaerobic culture, molecular biology, and multi-OMICS technology. The student will have the opportunity to learn wet bench techniques and bioinformatics, depending on their interests. |
Project Direction | This summer, the student will help with sample collection and bioninformatic analysis, and these efforts will continue to the next academic year |
Mentorship and Supervision | The student will be trained on basic animal handling, culture, molecular techniques, and bioinformatics by our postdocs and students in the lab. The student will have a one-on-one weekly meeting with the PI. |
Student Qualifications | Have basic knowledge about biology (if interested in wet lab) OR bioinformatics (if interested in dry lab). Students interested in microbiome research are encouraged to work on related projects. |
Summer Schedule Options | Schedule: M-F, 9am-5pm |
