The techniques we use include mouse models, anaerobic culture, molecular biology, and multi-OMICS technology. The student will have the opportunity to learn wet bench techniques and bioinformatics, depending on their interests.
Project Direction This summer, the student will help with sample collection and bioninformatic analysis, and these efforts will continue to the next academic year
Mentorship and Supervision The student will be trained on basic animal handling, culture, molecular techniques, and bioinformatics by our postdocs and students in the lab. The student will have a one-on-one weekly meeting with the PI.
Student Qualifications Have basic knowledge about biology (if interested in wet lab) OR bioinformatics (if interested in dry lab). Students interested in microbiome research are encouraged to work on related projects.
Summer Schedule Options Schedule: M-F, 9am-5pm
