All UConn undergraduate students traveling as part of a UConn Enrichment Programs experience must complete the travel approval process.
To ensure timely approval, please complete both steps below at least 2 to 3 weeks before your travel begins.
Additional Details for Students Planning International Travel: Undergraduate students who are traveling internationally for the purposes of enrichment activities must register with Global Affairs in accordance with the UConn Student International Travel Policy. Students should register by completing the Undergraduate Student Travel Registration form. In addition, international, university-sponsored travel by students to destinations with a Level 3 or 4 travel advisory requires an approved waiver from Global Affairs.
Enrichment Programs will not fund a student to travel internationally unless the student has secured all necessary travel registrations, waivers, and approvals. The most updated travel guidance is available at travel.uconn.edu.
Step 1: Set Up Your Concur Profile
Before submitting travel information, create your profile in Concur and add the Enrichment Programs staff as delegates so they can manage your travel profile.
Use the Concur Getting Started Checklist for step-by-step instructions.
Step 2: Complete the Travel Confirmation Form
After your Concur profile is set up, complete the Travel Confirmation Form.
In the form, you will be asked to provide:
- A description of your enrichment activity (such as research, a conference presentation, or a service trip)
- Your travel dates
- Travel destination(s)
- Transportation method(s)
- Emergency contact information
- If traveling abroad, your EGL registration number
Once you submit the form, a copy of your responses will be emailed to you for your records.
Important: If you are applying for travel funding through a program such as the Presidential Scholars Enrichment Award or the OUR Conference Presentation Award, do not complete the Travel Confirmation Form until you have received confirmation that your award application has been approved for funding.
